Margot Cassila, singer - songwriter
I was still in school when someone handed me a microphone at a rehearsal... and the musicians asked me to be part of the band. I had been listening to B.B. King, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Presley and learned a lot from them.
After that, Punk, rock and New Wave influenced me, but a passion for Flamenco, African and oriental music also led me to Indian and Balkanise music.
I lived in Paris and London, travelled Africa, Asia, USA and Europ for work and pleasure.
Sung and danced with many bands, from "Hot Pants" and "Dirty Ducks" to "Invaders of the heart" with Natacha Atlas and Jah Wobble,I also played percussion and drums.
Left London, had two children in Paris and started performing with a circus (acrobats and horses) called Ocirque, for 4 years.
Later I co-wrote the songs for the bands I created : 2009 with "Kiss my Frogs" album: CONTRADICTIONS, 2014 with "DelMar" album: IS IT TOO MUCH? 2019 with "French Details" album: AFFECTION and 2020 with "Crocodile Candy" album: ENJOYING THE MOMENT.
I also gave singing lessons in Paris and did voice-over.
I studied art-therapy at L'Inecat in 2021 and body percussion with Ludovic Prevel, and also more speech and voice therapy at L'Institut Arthur Vernes with Claire Pillot-Loiseau.
Starting September 2023 we created new songs with Jean-Philippe Barrios and Christophe Rodomisto for the show "Envol" with the company "Hors Surface" a team of trampoline acrobats.
2025, I am now living in Lausanne and trained to be a gym coach for seniors. Happy to share my passion for music and dance, I'm starting sessions of "Music-Fit-Creative"...
